Memex (Firecrawl & Voyage)
This Memex tool for Model Context Protocol, developed by Shawn Simister, enables AI-assisted web content analysis and knowledge base creation. Inspired by Vannevar Bush's Memex concept, it integrates with Claude Desktop to analyze web pages, extract key information, and store it in a structured Markdown-based knowledge base. The implementation leverages APIs from Anthropic, FireCrawl, and Voyage AI for content processing and embedding generation. It stands out by focusing on personal knowledge management and information retrieval, storing data locally rather than in cloud services. This tool is particularly useful for researchers, students, and knowledge workers who want to build a personalized, AI-augmented system for capturing and organizing web-based information.
