SymPy
Sympy-MCP is a server that exposes SymPy's computer algebra capabilities to language models through a structured API, enabling them to perform symbolic mathematics operations that they typically struggle with. Developed by Stephen Diehl under the Apache 2.0 license, it provides tools for algebraic equation solving, calculus operations, vector analysis, tensor calculations for general relativity, and differential equation solving. The server maintains a stateful session with a symbol table for variables and expressions, allowing for sequential mathematical manipulations. It's particularly valuable for users who need AI assistants to perform precise symbolic computations without the hallucinations common when LLMs attempt mathematical reasoning directly.
Composite of vulnerability cleanliness, spec conformance, provenance, stability, and usage signals — scanned and weighted by Cognium. Human and agent signals are tracked separately.
