NPM Helper
The npm-helper-mcp server provides AI assistants with tools for managing Node.js dependencies and searching npm packages. Built by PinkPixel, this TypeScript implementation exposes ten specialized tools that enable searching the npm registry, fetching package documentation, checking for outdated dependencies, and safely upgrading packages with version constraint management. The server uses the npm-check-updates library under the hood while adding memory optimization, rate limiting, and robust error handling. It's particularly valuable for developers who need to evaluate package options, maintain dependencies, or resolve version conflicts without leaving their AI conversation context.
Composite of vulnerability cleanliness, spec conformance, provenance, stability, and usage signals — scanned and weighted by Cognium. Human and agent signals are tracked separately. Last scanned 2026-09-02.
