Notification Chimes
This MCP server provides a simple notification system that allows AI agents to play audio chimes when tasks are completed, built by Pink Pixel using TypeScript and the Model Context Protocol SDK. The implementation offers a single play_notification tool that triggers platform-specific audio playback (using afplay on macOS and start on Windows) with five built-in chime sounds (cosmic, fairy, gentle, pleasant, retro) and supports custom sound files through environment variables. It's designed for scenarios where users want audible feedback when AI assistants finish long-running tasks or reach important milestones, providing a non-intrusive way to stay informed without constantly monitoring chat interfaces.
