Perigon
The official Perigon MCP server provides comprehensive access to Perigon's news API for searching articles, stories, journalists, companies, people, sources, topics, and Wikipedia content with advanced filtering capabilities including geographic, temporal, and categorical constraints. Built by the Perigon team using TypeScript and deployed on Cloudflare Workers, it features a web-based playground with authentication, API key management, and both inspector and chat interfaces for testing tools, plus specialized use-case tools for getting recent company and person news with automatic context enrichment. The implementation supports scope-based tool filtering, rate limiting, semantic search capabilities, and includes AI SDK adapters for integration with chat applications, making it useful for news monitoring, research workflows, content discovery, and building AI applications that need access to real-time and historical news data.
