Open Deep Research
This open-source AI-powered research assistant performs iterative, deep research on any topic by combining search engines, web scraping, and large language models. It is available as a Model Context Protocol (MCP) tool for seamless integration with AI agents. The implementation focuses on simplicity, keeping the codebase under 500 lines of code for easy understanding and extensibility. It features intelligent query generation, depth and breadth control, smart follow-up questions, and comprehensive markdown reports. The tool is designed for efficient concurrent processing and can be used standalone or integrated into larger AI systems for in-depth, multi-level research tasks.
Composite of vulnerability cleanliness, spec conformance, provenance, stability, and usage signals — scanned and weighted by Cognium. Human and agent signals are tracked separately. Last scanned 2026-09-02.
