GIS Operations
The GIS MCP server connects LLMs to geospatial operations through Shapely and PyProj libraries, enabling AI assistants to perform geometric transformations, coordinate system conversions, and spatial analyses. Developed by Mahdi Nazari Ashani, this implementation exposes a comprehensive set of tools organized into categories like basic operations, transformations, and geodetic calculations, with each function accepting WKT geometry strings and returning structured results. The server handles error reporting, geometry validation, and proper CRS management, making it valuable for applications requiring spatial analysis, map creation, or location-based services without switching contexts.
Composite of vulnerability cleanliness, spec conformance, provenance, stability, and usage signals — scanned and weighted by Cognium. Human and agent signals are tracked separately. Last scanned 2026-09-19.
