National Weather Service
The Weather MCP server provides AI assistants with access to National Weather Service data through two main tools: retrieving current weather alerts by state code and obtaining detailed weather forecasts for specific locations using latitude and longitude coordinates. Built with Python using the FastMCP framework and httpx for API requests, it formats weather data into human-readable responses with proper error handling for failed requests. This implementation is particularly valuable for workflows requiring up-to-date weather information within AI assistant conversations, allowing users to check for severe weather alerts or plan activities based on upcoming forecasts without leaving their conversation interface.
