This MCP server provides deep introspection into Emacs environments, enabling AI assistants to access documentation, configuration details, and system information from running Emacs instances. Built by Michael Pontus using Emacs Lisp with JSON-RPC over stdio, it offers tools for querying function and variable documentation, exploring keybindings and modes, searching Info manuals, listing installed packages and loaded features, analyzing hooks and customizations, and inspecting fonts and display capabilities. The implementation runs Emacs in batch mode to serve MCP requests while maintaining access to the full user configuration including Doom Emacs support, making it valuable for AI-assisted Emacs configuration development, package authoring, troubleshooting user setups, and providing contextual help without requiring manual specification of relevant configuration files.
