Obsidian
Obsidian MCP Server provides direct access to Obsidian vaults as a second brain, enabling intelligent search and retrieval across personal knowledge bases. Built by Ioannis Karasavvaidis with TypeScript, it offers dual storage modes (SQLite database for large vaults, in-memory Fuse.js for smaller ones) and supports hierarchical tag matching, frontmatter-based filtering by type/status/category, date range queries, and fuzzy search across note content with configurable search weights. The implementation includes security features like path traversal protection, file size limits, and test coverage, making it valuable for knowledge workers who want assistants to intelligently navigate and reference their personal note collections during conversations without manual lookup.
Composite of vulnerability cleanliness, spec conformance, provenance, stability, and usage signals — scanned and weighted by Cognium. Human and agent signals are tracked separately. Last scanned 2026-09-19.
