Paper Search
A multi-source academic paper search and retrieval server that aggregates results from arXiv, PubMed, bioRxiv, medRxiv, Google Scholar, IACR ePrint Archive, Semantic Scholar, and CrossRef through a unified interface. Built by P.S Zhang with FastMCP, it provides both legacy platform-specific search tools and standardized search/fetch tools compatible with OpenAI Deep Research, featuring PDF download capabilities, text extraction using PyPDF2, intelligent caching with LRU eviction, and asynchronous processing for efficient multi-platform queries. The implementation handles rate limiting, provides consistent Paper object formatting across all sources, and includes containerized deployment support, making it useful for research workflows, literature reviews, and AI-assisted academic research where accessing papers from multiple databases through a single interface streamlines the discovery and analysis process.
Composite of vulnerability cleanliness, spec conformance, provenance, stability, and usage signals — scanned and weighted by Cognium. Human and agent signals are tracked separately. Last scanned 2026-09-02.
