# instrument_mcp

> Use this tool when you need to control and automate test and measurement equipment, such as RIGOL and SIGLENT devices, to generate signals and capture data. It solves problems related to manual equipment control and data acquisition by providing a programmatic interface via SCPI commands. The instrument_mcp tool takes SCPI commands as input and outputs controlled signals and captured data through a local stdio MCP server.
