## Description

The Svg/icons MCP server connects AI coding tools to svgicons.com, a catalog of 320K+ open-source
SVG icons. Assistants can search icons and icon sets, fetch icon metadata, and get icon
recommendations for a UI without any account. With a Pro account (OAuth or a scoped API token),
they can also fetch raw SVG markup, render PNG exports, and create, read, extend, and export
persistent Icon Collections — including custom-styled icons — so the icon-discovery step never
leaves the development workflow. Hosted, streamable HTTP, no local install.

**Capabilities (12 tools, grouped):**
- **Search & read (anonymous metadata; raw SVG with Pro):** `search_icons`, `search_icon_sets`,
  `get_icon`
- **Recommendations (anonymous):** `recommend_icons_for_ui`
- **Icon Collections — create/read/extend (Pro):** `create_icon_kit`,
  `generate_icon_kit_for_project`, `list_icon_collections`, `get_icon_collection`,
  `add_icons_to_collection`, `remove_icon_from_collection`
- **Exports (Pro):** `export_icon_png` (single-icon PNG/ZIP), `export_icon_collection`
  (SVG folders, sprites, React/Vue/Svelte/Solid/Blade components, Storybook, npm scaffold,
  PNG packs, Iconify JSON, manifests, licenses)

**Auth model:**
- Anonymous: metadata search, icon-set search, recommendations (rate-limited).
- Pro: OAuth 2.0 with PKCE + Dynamic Client Registration
  (`/.well-known/oauth-authorization-server`, `/oauth/*` — live-verified), or a scoped Pro API
  personal access token. Scopes: `mcp:use`, `search:read`, `icons:read`, `collections:read`,
  `collections:write`, `exports:create`.

**Transport + endpoint:** MCP streamable HTTP at `https://svgicons.com/mcp` (JSON-RPC POST;
protocol 2025-06-18; server v0.3.0).
