# XMCP Application

> Use this tool when you need to create and run Machine Comprehension Protocol (MCP) services with flexible transport methods. It solves the problem of manually configuring and exposing tools by automatically discovering and exposing them from a specified directory. The XMCP Application takes in tools from the src/tools directory and outputs MCP services with HTTP or STDIO transport options.
