# AI Commander

> Use this tool when you need to remotely execute shell commands on machines you own, without exposing inbound ports or requiring VPN setup. AI Commander solves the problem of secure remote access by using a small agent and outbound WebSocket connection, allowing for real-time stdout/stderr streaming. It takes a short session code as input and outputs command results, making it ideal for use cases where secure, streamlined remote command execution is necessary.

## Description

AI Commander is a remote shell for AI agents. It lets an MCP client (Claude, Codex, ChatGPT, Cursor, or any Model Context Protocol client) run shell commands on machines you own by quoting a short session code like `AIC-7K3P-WX9M-RTBN`. A small agent on the target machine keeps one outbound WebSocket open to AI Commander's hosted relay, so there are no inbound ports, no exposed SSH, and no VPN. Command stdout/stderr stream back in real time over SSE.
